I don't think it should have to boil down to an either/or situation and I doubt more people will be happy as long as that's what we are stuck with, though. I love Outlaw Queen and I would certainly want them to get more on-screen focus, but I also very much appreciate them interacting with other characters. I would never want to miss out on the Snowing/Regina or Emma/Regina scenes from 5A either, even while I obviously agree that Emma and her parents desperately needed more focus.
But as long as the writers insist on squeezing an arc with consequences as massive as Emma being turned into the Dark One into 11 episodes, they'll never be able to find the right balance and do every character/dynamic justice again. They made the decision to devote 5A pretty much entirely to Emma's romantic relationship, but the Underworld now presents them with an opportunity to get back to exploring other angles as she'll find out more about her parents and their pasts. I'm certainly hoping they'll make use of that. __________________

The only people listed on both press releases (the Pilot and 5.12) are Doc and Grumpy. Both of whom were around in 5A. He probably means Sidney and forgot he wasn't there until episode 2.
