How do you know what the general audience watches for? There is no way to determine what the general audience watches for actually so it's baseless to say the general audience watches for Chace. I didn't even know who Chace was before gossip girl, he isnt THAT beloved. I only knew of Blake Lively because of the Sisterhood movies. The average teenager is a sucker for chemistry for chemistry which is why pairings like Brucas are so successful when the OTPs are supposed to be Leyton or Dawson/Joey. People tend to watch for flashy pairings and none of Chace's pairings are particularly eye catching IMO.

Kristin's spoiler said that the reunion would prevent CB from hooking up. So - if she's right - it either means Nate and Blair or, like, Chuck and Georgina, ROFL.
