Depression makes people do self destructive things sometimes. Sometimes its just shutting everyone out and withdrawing, sometimes its something like what Chuck did. CHuck Bass is a very intense character to start off with. He's doesn't BS anything so when he goes dark, he's gonna go REALLY dark.

I was depressed for awhile I stopped hanging out with friends didn't want do anything but just lie in bed and watch t.v. But I don't think I would ever do what Chuck did that's extreme.
