CSI Spoilers #3: If George gets the boot we're following suit

New thread, we're currently discussing the two hour season finale of CSI that will air this Thursday and is directed by Kill Bill director Quentin Tarantino.

I'll be back later with season finale eps for CSI: NY which airs tomorrow and CSI: Miami next Monday.

Any one of the criminal investigation team could have been chosen to be the buried-alive victim, but Mendelsohn gave the job to Eads because "I didn't think anyone had more raw emotion inside of them at this point than George. I felt that he had something that needed to come out."
This part makes me pretty confident that Nick doesn't die. I don't think anyone would have "chosen" for their character to die.

Now as far as Grissom is concerned - I remember reading a long time ago that Peterson was out of there at the end of season 5. I wonder if this is still the case.

Hmmm if Grissom goes the show is pretty much over I would think. Sure most of the other characters are good in their roles but I don't think any of them have the presence to pull off being the lead the way he does.

On another note: I am so happy Greg is getting more screen time. He and Nick are my two favorites so Greg getting more time and Nick not dying Thursday is fantastic.

Someone on the other thread mentioned something about how Nick was sort of like the bastard stepchild and was never really treated like a part of the family the way Catherine. Sara and Warwick were. I thought that was a very interesting point but I have to admit I missed completely the lack of relationship. I had always thought Nick and Grissom got along well. To me it seems Greg is the one getting shafted. Especially since everyone-not just Grissom-makes fun of him or rolls their eyes when he talks etc.

Well I am really looking forward to Thursday night. It can't come fast enough. And not just because the day after is Friday

I have two characters in mind that might be killed off:

1) Grissom: Peterson did express his unhappiness with the show, one with CSI having been spinoffed to NY and Miami. The other, being an executive producer as well on the show, he felt he wasnt getting paid enough for being both an actor and a producer. Not nearly as much as the producers make themselves. He was debating how long he stay on the show and I dont remember when he said he was thinking of leaving, but I believe far as 2006/2007 he will go. The stories so far this year have been leaning to a departure for Grissom, first by breaking the team up and having Catherine more in the dominant role. It be a shame to kill of the leading actor because Grissom brings the flavor to CSI.

2) Warrick: The actor himself, expressed he might want to try different things and didnt know how long he will stay on the show. I recall reading that he enjoyed singing and was planning on doing an album, if he has yet to do it, then Warrick might be out to pursue his passion in singing.

as far as this seaoson goes, i too am fairly certain no one gets offed. from what i hear, grissom, catherine, sara, warrick, and greg open nick's casket at the end of the ep and nick is still alive. now, next season is another story. personally, i couldnt really care less if grissom stays or goes, but i can see how a lot of people would stop watching. i agree that grissom will most likely leave at the end of S7. Whether the show will continue or not rests on the interest of the remaining cast members and the show's ratings i would think.

i got an email confirmation from someone that claims to have seen the ep that nick does live. though i was already sure he would live, i must admit it feels good to see some confirmation, whether its a lie or not

Could this be true? Hodges as a regular in season 6? No confirmation as of yet, so id take it with a grain of salt, but it could happen. Guess we'll have to stay tuned (like we wouldnt, anyway? )

CSI: Miami

4.01 Yet Untitled

Quote:
The first episode of CSI: Miami's fourth season will see the introduction of a new character and the return of an old face.

According to CSI Files sources, the episode begins at the scene of an impending crime. Alonzo Fuentes has been released from prison for a day so he can attend his mother's burial. Affected by the grief, he asks his escorting officer to remove the handcuffs; he doesn't want his mother to see him with them on. However, when the officer does not comply, Alonzo removes them by force. Intent on seeing his mother's face for the last time, he runs to her casket and opens it. But he doesn't find his mother's body inside. Instead, a man wearing a black ski mask pulls out a gun and fires. The funeral attendees scream and run for cover as Alonzo hits the ground, dead.

Detective Frank Tripp is talking to witnesses and making notes when Horatio Caine arrives. Alonzo had been sent to prison for cocaine distribution, a profession where enemies are easily formed. But while inspecting Alonzo's body, Alexx Woods finds the tattoo of a pitchfork. Horatio knows it is no ordinary tattoo, as the pitchfork happens to be the preferred sign of a new gang called Mal Noche (or Bad Night). He would also like to know how the body of Alonzo's mother was taken out of the casket without someone noticing. The owner of the mortuary has a lot to explain. But there's no time to launch a massive investigation, as soon the men of Mal Noche strike again -- this time at the house of the well-off Livingston family.

Horatio and Delko arrive at the Livingston's house, where it is clear that there's been a break-in. Though the Livingston family had time to hide in their panic room, their housekeeper, Celia Gonzales, wasn't as lucky. She's been raped, and it turns out the physical trauma caused her to lose the baby she'd been carrying. Horatio promises to bring her attacker to justice, and risking his own life, he must now find the connection between the two crime scenes and lock the men responsible for Alonzo's death and Celia's rape behind bars.

Back at the lab, Delko brings important evidence on the Mal Noche case to a new DNA Analyst. Natalia Boa Vista has been brought in with a special grant to solve cold cases, and she doesn't miss an opportunity to remind the CSIs of the fact. Delko is miffed that Boa Vista prefers to work on cases that are years old, and doesn't seem to care that a woman was raped that day and the person responsible might do it again. It's not the first time Boa Vista clashes with a CSI, and Maxine Valera, back on the job, immediately senses the tension. Boa Vista is here to stay, but the presence of this new regular character at the lab will no doubt be a great source of tension.

Also back in the season premiere is Calleigh Duquesne, who, due to the traumatic events of "10-7," is now working strictly in toxicology. Though the former Bullet Girl isn't happy with her new position, in typical Calleigh fashion, she puts on a brave front. Filling her old shoes is Jim Marsh, a young ballistics expert who, according to Calleigh, cares more about his music than the bullets in front of him. It's plain to her co-workers that Calleigh's passion for guns hasn't subsided, but the young CSI might be too proud, and too haunted, to admit it and regain her old position.

Please note that the above plot details have not been confirmed by CBS, Alliance Atlantis or Bruckheimer Films, and until such time you should treat this information as you would any other rumour. The above information comes from early script drafts and the details of the episodes are liable to change before the episodes are shown.

Episode 1 (which has yet to be named) of Miami's season four is set to premiere late September.

Sorry Yelina fans. I too am dissapointed..

Quote:
Fans of Yelina Salas received some disappointing news today, as Mike Ausiello, of TV Guide's Ask Ausiello column, announced that Sofia Milos has been written out Miami.

The columnist broke the news to a fan who asked what season 4 had in store for the Horatio-Yelina romance. "I've got bad news for ya. Sofia Milos (aka Yelina) is gone for good," Ausiello said. "My Miami mole tells me the Horatio-Yelina thing ran its course and a new love interest is on the horizon for David Caruso."

Milos was first introduced to the show in the season 1 episode "Simple Man," where she was revealed to be not only Horatio Caine's widowed sister-in-law, but the object of his affection. The actress was featured all through season 2 as a guest star, and was finally granted star billing in the season 3 premiere, "Lost Son."

Salas was last seen in the season finale, "10-7," where her husband Raymond Caine finally revealed himself after his family thought he had been dead. Yelina and her son boarded an airplane bound to Brazil with Raymond as per Horatio's insistence. Though Raymond Caine's safety depends on him staying out of the country, actor Dean Winters, who portrayed Raymond, hinted there is a good chance that we'll get to see him on the show again (news).

Horatio Caine's last romantic interest was State Attorney Rebecca Nevins (portrayed by Christina Chang). Nevins last appeared in the episode "Cop Killer," in which Horatio broke their romantic ties due to conflict of interests. Though Caine has been seen flirting with various one-time characters, his main romance continues to be with his job. His upcoming lady-love might be the real thing, but it is not yet known if this new character will join Miami permanently.

Head over to TV Guide's Ask Ausiello column to read the original report.

Miami- I guess Yelina decided to stay in Brazil. Not sure I like that storyline, but I'm sure we haven't heard the last of Ray. I'm glad Calleigh didn't resign altogether.

CSI- I loved Lady Heather. She was one of the few who could match Grissoms intensity and didn't obsess over bones & bugs.

CSI: LV Ep. 6.01 Spoilers (summarized from casting sides)

This makes me very excited. It appears as if Cath has been demoted and the shifts have merged. Gil, Nick, and Sara seem to be working together.

Quote:
When CSI: Crime Scene Investigation returns from its summer break in late September, the CSIs will work on two challenging cases involving an explosion in a trailer park and a beautiful girl who is found dead on the street -- while Gil Grissom spends some extra-curricular time trying to make sense of the events from last year's season finale.

CSI Files sources suggested today that the season six premiere, called "Bodies In Motion," will open with the two CSI teams working closely together after a nighttime explosion rocks a trailer park. The LVPD needs all available manpower to figure out what happened, and the trailer park residents aren't much help -- they were watching TV, or drinking, or just plain not interested. Captain Brass is getting frustrated. A man and his wife were killed when their trailer was blown pieces, and yet nobody noticed anything unusual? But then one of the neighbors standing around the wreckage butts in. Whoever the man was, he sure wasn't married to Selena, the woman who owned the trailer. She always had all sorts of men coming over -- just the kind of lifestyle that was eventually going to get her killed, if you ask the neighbor.

Brass doesn't ask, but at least he's got a lead. And right on time, too, as Catherine, Warrick and Vartann are called away to a murder scene elsewhere in town. They find a young woman with her head smashed in, wearing nothing but her underwear and... a pair of oversized rubber boots. The CSIs recognise the boots as those worn by the ciy's garbage collectors, and decide to pay the local garbage man a visit. He admits he broke regulations by giving the girl a ride and lending her his boots to get home, but says he he simply wanted to help the girl out after seeing her stumble barefoot in a really bad part of town. Now Catherine is left with three mysteries: who was this girl, what was she doing in one of the worst areas of Vegas, and why did she die anyway after escaping from there?

In the trailer park case, Brass, Sara and Nick identify the dead man as Robert Durgee -- happily married to a woman named Amber, who Brass will now have to go tell both that her husband is dead and that he was cheating on her. Meanwhile, Nick and Sara make a surprising discovery -- the man wasn't killed by the explosion, but rather by a small truck driving over him. Nick puts the truck's tire pattern in the computer, and retrieves a couple of vehicle models that match the tire. Then, on a hunch, he types in Amber Durgee's name into the vehicle registration database -- and finds that, yes, she owns precisely the kind of truck that killed her husband. It looks like Brass's courtesy visit may have to turn nasty...

Where is Gil Grissom in all this? For a while, he's helping out in the trailer park case, but for a large part of this episode, he's working with Archie Kao to figure some stuff out from last year's CSI season finale, "Grave Danger." Grissom has Archie analyze the tape that Walter Gordon left with Nick in his coffin, and they make the surprising discovery that Walter wasn't alone when he recorded the tape. Grissom asks Archie to keep this under the hood for now, but undoubtedly the investigation will continue for several episodes to come.

There's much more going on in "Bodies In Motion", including the return of some character-oriented storylines from last year. There's romantic tension between Grissom and Sara, as Sara still isn't getting any closer to the man she secretly loves. Plus there's professional tension between Grissom and Catherine, with Catherine's career seemingly taking a downturn again. And there's even a separate third case, in which Greg and Sofia work together to try and solve the murder of a pastry delivery girl found dead in her car. Want to know more? Then tune in this September for season six of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation!

Please note that the above plot details have not been confirmed by CBS, Alliance Atlantis or Bruckheimer Films, and until such time you should treat this information as you would any other rumour. The above information comes from early script drafts and the details of the episodes are liable to change before the episodes are shown.
