DR. RHODES FAMILY SECRETS ARE BROUGHT INTO THE OPEN, SHARON GOODWIN IS LEFT TO DEAL WITH HOMELAND SECURITY AND DR. MANNING’S LIFE IS ABOUT TO FOREVER CHANGE. Two airplane stowaways are brought into the hospital after suffering major injuries from the travel, prompting Sharon Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson) to receive a visit from the Department of Homeland Security regarding the undocumented immigrants. Cornelius Rhodes (guest star DW Moffett), the wealthy father of Dr. Connor Rhodes (Colin Donnell), is honored after making a big donation to the hospital for a new psych ward, forcing dark family secrets to the surface. Dr. Natalie Manning’s (Torrey De Vitto) big day arrives and Dr. Will Halstead’s (Nick Gehlfuss) good intentions to help are misconstrued by her mother-in-law, Helen (guest star Annie Potts). Meanwhile, Dr. Sarah Reese (Rachel DiPillo) asks Dr. Charles (Oliver Platt) for advice on how to deliver heartbreaking news to a young boy while also warning his family about the possibility that their other son may also have the same life-threatening disease. So I love Will but the way they're pushing him with Natalie really turns me off. It's way too heavy handed and I still don't care about Natalie at all.
Anyway, I enjoyed last night's episode much more than the last few. Love that April finally has more of a backstory, one that I hope the writers will explore. And of course April and Kelly..  Lol It's a shame that the writers are probably just teasing because they are the only (potential) couple I like, save Reese and the new guy. They could be cute.__________________

For me I haven't been able to connect with any of the romances on the Chicago series, so I'm not really invested, but I think it would suck if they teased Kelly/April fans and not go anywhere with it. __________________

Yeah, it would really make no sense to show them still having romantic feelings for one another, only to drop them again for whatever reason. Maybe the writers will give them a real chance, I'm just not convinced right now. We'll see.
