Apparently their jobs will be the ultimately reason they split up (officially, at least ) but I don't think it will be this episode, since Eva got one more episode.


And, I was thinking Wuntch wouldn't come back anymore.. that was a good surprise. I guess even if she gets promoted she can still torment Holt, . But, this plot kinda leads me to think that they will work things out in the end of it.

- Forced recorder-music listening. 'nuf said.
- "Four Drink Amy" should be the name of Santiago's sex tape.
- There's an investment scheme involing a sunken casino and two Nine-Nine nitwits.
- Gina makes a new friend -- kinda.
- Jake makes a new game that will definitely be a hit at all the Nine-Nine parties.
- Another solid cold open -- this one features sleuthing and hot soup.

The Brooklyn Nine-Nine squad is back for the first new episode of 2015 this weekend and it’s a detectives-only-getaway!

In “Beach House”, Jake rallies the troops to participate in their annual holiday weekend — at Charles’ beach house this time around — and everyone is excited for the vacation. Terry is happy to be getting away from the responsibility of his family and Gina is giddy about the possibility of meeting “Six Drink Amy” (a legendary creature she hasn’t met before). Rosa, however, is a bit wary about trading texts with her new boyfriend all weekend since she’s not very skilled in the art of romantic texting.

When Jake goes to say goodbye to Captain Holt, he gets a sob story about how the captain was never invited along on any of his old squad’s detective outings, prompting Jake to take pity on him and invite him to the beach house. This, of course, puts a damper on the celebrations. Instead of insulting the other cops in the precinct and making fun of their boss, Captain Holt forces the group to take a cold walk on the beach and listen to instrumental music. Jake thinks he’s got it all figured out when he proposes an upstairs party with Holt and a fun downstairs party with just the gang — with everyone taking shifts between both parties — but will Holt discover the ruse?

It won't actually be an Jake/Amy episode as Road Trip was.. but it will have some Jake/Amy..

Yeah, you are probably right. But I'm just excited by any little interaction between Jake/Amy. I don't think there has been any scenes between them since the car scene in Road Trip.

That does sound a bit disappointing but I'm still looking forward to it, even just to see drunk Amy (Hopefully they didn't cut the J/A scene from the promo pic for time??!! )

I hope though for the back half of the season they cut down on the overwhelming amount of guest stars taking up so much time (like it's been already mentioned here or maybe in the B99 forum), so the group can have more scenes together! Especially silly with how little Jake/Amy interactions there have been - and how they are few and far between. I'm not talking romantic stuff, just normal interactions! I miss it.

Maybe they're building up to the really good stuff though
