the main cast are all pleasant and nice to each other with slight snarking (not including Hitchcock and Scully in this) ..but Gina is just mean spirited to most people, especially Amy. It isn't funny

Hmm.. gotta disagree with you there. But, hey, of course, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

For me, that is why I like Gina. I know people just like that, thick exterior, use their dark humor to protect themselves, but doesn't necessary are mean people. Plus, the show is about the characters, about how they are all different kind of people and how they grow as professionals and human beings before our eyes. Gina might be over snarky, but she's also growing and, we've seen that she does care, even though she try not anyone know that. And, honestly, I think it is funny and shake things up.

Alright, anti-Gina club. She might won't won the best person of the decade award, but she's a work in progress..

She did help Jake and showed she care about him in The Apartment, same with Rosa at the end of Road Trip, helped Holt with his addiction in Tactical Village, and was really sweet talking about Charles in the end of The Mole.

I get why you guys get annoyed with her, but this is TV, comedy TV, and she's on the main cast. Hence, she'll never be straight up a bad person. She puts up this pose of 'nothing can affect me', but she's also vulnerable. You guys will see, she being like this is completely intentional, the show is already working on that. That's her saga.

I get it, it honestly took me a long time to warm up to Gina, even despite her funny. She's very abrasive and walks a fine line between teasing and something stronger, especially with Amy (which I don't like to see either), a line that sometimes the show doesn't 100% perfect IMO. But she does have those little moments where she does do small things for others so I do like that I look at April from P&R (who I HATTTTEEE with the fire of 100000 suns and is completely irredeemable to me), and think, "well it could be worse!" and I'm glad they didn't exaggerate Gina's character to that extent.
