They can't do that! Why don't they just make Brennan sick for like, 3 episodes, like they did with Meredith in Grey's? She was in bed but still helping people from the computer and the phone, and those scenes can be easily filmed before she has the baby and in like, a week she can shoot footage for the 3 episodes. I'll only accept that (as if my opinion matters... LOL) if we get those 7 episodes later, I mean, we have like, 3 hiatus during the season. They could put all those hiatus together for Emily's maternity leave and then puts the rest of the episodes together in a row. I know it's not how it works, but during season 5 we had a two month hiatus from feb-april. They can shoot like, 5/6 episodes from early July-September (or maybe Emily can shoot 5/6 full episodes and some scenes for two or three more), and then take a bigger hiatus than usual in December, coming back later February. I'd rather this than having the season shortned or Emily off 7 episodes. |

I don't think anything is set in stone yet. I think it was just a guess. The pregnancy can effect the show for 6-7 episodes does not mean Emily will be missing from 6-7. maybe light a few and missing and who knows if its really 6-7. its just a rough guess @ best right now. and the fact that they want to use the Finder as a replacement shows that they know you can't have Bones w/o Bones
