I don't think it's going to effect the LP relationship in the list. I think it's something that is being used for humor and not story development. They'll probably brush it under the rug like they do a lot of things.

I was just thinking that this represents Penny's insecurities. What would happen if Leonard found out. Like her not being a CC graduate. Now Leonard with Penny's ILY is Walking on Sunshine and when she calls he makes sure everyone knows it is Penny. Right now we know that Leonard showed a portion on the movie, but will Penny find out and is it deal breaker or used as a catalyst Sheldon revealing that he has feelings.

The title means they are without Leonard so they are deficient in a Hoffstadte, not that he did something wrong ..like iron deficiency means your body is low on iron.
I love that he is shoeing her film, it is funny and I truly believe that is the only reason for that scene ...for a laugh

Considering that him and Mayim were partying the night before at the pre-Emmy thing and that taping day starts early he was probably tired.

Also the scene where Amy is calling Sheldon goodnight he asks if she will sleep in a garment bag so she doesn't bring home bed bugs .

And Penny's video isn't a porno it's more like a bad remake of pyscho where she is getting attacked by an ape, and the audience laughed bc it was soooo cheesy.

Also some BTS:
She said Jim kept forgetting his lines and then he hit himself on the head and he made Kaley laugh with a funny face at some point .

Yep. Nothing to see here.

I don't see anything in this episode that is of huge concern. The whole topless thing I don't think is a big deal. As others have said, many actresses do topless - even well known ones. Has anyone seen True Blood lately? I swear I know Anna Pacquin's "top" better than I do my own. To say nothing of all the bottom's I've seen (back and, now, front).

Of course if on top of being topless (pun intended), the movie was also bad and cheesy, that might be a big part of why Penny's embarrassed by it. As to Leonard showing it - I'll wait until I see the circumstances. Does he actually show the topless part? I know we won't see it if he does, but it could be implied. It may be that he's very drunk and the other guys are bragging about their girls. There's nothing like alcohol and testosterone to make men's brains go on vacation. Sometimes only one of those is needed. For that matter, women can be badly influenced by alcohol, too.

The Amy/Bernadette interaction sounds funny and cute. And if Bernadette suggests that Amy try something with one of the guys, she may just be looking out for Amy's best interests - in her own way, of course. Bernadette has been vocal in the past about all that is (from her perspective) lacking in Amy's relationship. Unlike Penny, Bernadette doesn't know Sheldon very well, and seems, for the most part, just annoyed by him more than anything. Penny knows Sheldon well enough to know that there's a lot of potential for caring and love under all that craziness, so she's much more supportive of the Shamy. Bernadette seems to see only what is on the surface. I think the humor of the girls being attracted to the man who is more like the other girl's SO has more meaning than if they were simply attracted to the same "type". The conflict between the girls has everything to do with not really understanding where the other is coming from - especially as regards their respective SOs - and not seeing that man's good qualities. Realizing they are attracted to the man who resembles the one they've just been disparaging may allow them to better see where the other is coming from.

Looking forward to seeing this on the screen and to more taping reports!

I am looking forward to the episode, but, I dunno. It sounds like a good and funny ep, but not as a season opener.

The Season finale (and the previous ep) left a lot of open stuff, and this episode doesn't close any of those, except for the Sheldon and Penny missing Leonard and even then, Penny already said she missed Leonard in the finale.

Maybe the second ep will start to tackle that stuff?

So I have a crazy theory about this. I think they are setting up so that by the end of this season the Shamy will say "I love you" to one another because if you remember in last season's premire Amy asks Sheldon to say something "meaningful and from the heart" and in the Love Spell he does finally when he says "for me what we have is extremely intimate". I don't really have an opinon on the whole Lenny situation because personally it doesn't matter to me whether or not they are together.

I hope so, but I think Jim is referring to the nightmare Sheldon has in the premiere cold open about Leonard.
