As for whether other familiar names will appear in the future, either played by series regulars or guest stars, Schwartz would only say, “We’re going to see some of our characters,” and dig deeper into how the past affects the future.

“Part of what made this series so successful in having the flashbacks is that you were able to really get into your characters,” Schwartz shares. “Especially with Oliver, you knew how he became the way he is. And now with the flash-forwards, you’re able to see what is happening in the present day, [and] how that affects the characters in the future.”

Ok premiere, nothing groundbreaking.....expect the ending of course.

I was sure i knew how they would bring back Roy, but never expected a future version. I also knew the show would do flashforwards someday....but again, not like this.

Let's see what it all means, especially in relation to Oliver, who's obviously missing in this future timeline.

As for the present, Oliver's behaviour in jail made sense, glad he was back to his old self at the end. Didn't care much about the stuff with the other characters, though i like Rene's motivation to back as WildDog.

Felicity's choice to fight back and sent William away was interesting. Ithink it was much more about her regaining control of her life... and somehow get back at Oliver for his unilateral choice (but not in a mean way).

On to the next one.

So that will be the challenge at the beginning of the season.”
