Wow. The Exiles origin... really lame. I wish they'd left it a mystery if they couldn't come up with something good.
Oh, and AICN has posted a script review of X3. http://www.aint-it-cool-news.com/display.cgi?id=20443 BEWARE BIG SPOILERS. |

They revealed the Exiles origin. That was the only thing I'd been curious about. I'm sorry to hear it's lame. And I know I'll crack and read that script link sometime. __________________

Yeah, Mariko was poisoned, and in order to keep her from dying a long, painful death, at her request, he killed her.
Yeah, I'm not even going to describe the Exiles origin. It's so stupid, it makes the whole series worse to me. I mean, the mystery of the timebroker and everything was a good element... and now it's just dumb. Trust me, don't read it. There's some seriously spoilery stuff. Like, death stuff. Some main people die, and I didn't think they'd say it, but they did. I would take it back if I could. If you guys want, I could copy/paste some of the non-death stuff (danger room, new characters, Phoenix).... |

So is Uncanny X-Men any good right now? The only X-Men book I've been reading this past year is Astonishing but I miss reading about my favorite X-Men (Storm), so I want to know if it's worth adding to my pull list.
And I was weak and read all those X3 spoilers yesterday. Kind of wish I didn't though. Nice to see you here, Anji. __________________

I'm planning to get into Uncanny X-Men again. Because like Kittie said, I miss some of the characters. BTW, there's a new Storm miniseries that takes place when she was young and in Africa. I'm really curious about the Exiles now. I'm going to read the origin story and see if it's really that bad. I'm guessing it is. __________________

I'm planning to read it later tonight. Thanks for the headsup.
I read the summary of the Exiles origin. It was really that bad. __________________

Hey, how many have heard about this new twist in Gambit's history? Marvel has finaly come out and said, 'Hes a clone of Sinister and Cyclops'.
Which answered an old question, is he related to Mr. Sinister or his he the long lost Summers son? ): ) __________________

I did not hear about that. Which book did they reveal that in?
The Summer's family tree really wasn't weird enough. [/sarcasm] __________________

Ya, but it happened during the 'House of M' crap. So, it might not even be true in the 616 world.

I think some of the the HOM stuff is going to crossover. For some reason I don't want Gambit and Cyclops related, although it's been rumoured for years.
Did anyone read the newest Astonishing #12, there's a pretty important development.

I just hope that's true in that 'House of M' series, otherwise, we can all say that X-men, the comic book, has literally 'jumped the shark' with that one. Like you would think that they've done a lot of things that would constitute as shark jumping, but that takes the cake. Ugh. __________________

I'm pretty sure the Avengers jumped over a shark when they discovered "Pod Jean" at the bottom of the ocean ages ago.
The Cyke/Gambit thing does sound pretty wonky. I too hope it's a rumour or just House of M stuff. And if it's true, I'm sure it'll be undone a few years down the road. __________________
