I love Disney because they are my childhood,but really. You can't compare their "heroines" to the Ghibli's girls.

No, you can't when most of the Disney Princesses don't actually do anything. They just have a prince come and save them.

Pocahontas maybe is not that bad...

Disney is unfortunately very sexist.

They can only dream about delicate heroine as Nausicaa or the beautiful contrast between Mononoke and the lady of the village.

Last night something very weird happened here with my post and this thread is not even on the first page....odd.

Anyway I've just found out that Studio Ghibli worked on a video game.

This game is pretty awesome if you like the typical fantasy rpg games design for all ages. Personally I love this game, Studio Ghibli took part in the development of this and so while playing, I definately feel like I am watching Spirited away, Castle in the Sky, Princess Mononoke and many other miyazaki films. I just started and am enjoying it. I will admit that this game definately feels a little like pokemon because every couple steps a monster chases me and forces me to fight it and I have monsters to train called familiars who are helpers to my quest. They story starts in short is about a boy who lives in our world and has to go to the other world to fight the bad guys in order to save his mother who is spiritually tied to the sage version of her. The boy’s name is Oliver and along his journey he will make friends and learn magic. One of your companions is a fairy name Mr. Drippy and he insist he is a fairy but honestly, I dont think he is. I picked this up while it was still priced at $50 because I have a feeling this game might disappear off the shelf and I wont find a use copy at all as I wait for the price to drop. Enjoyable game so far though =)

Well from what I saw it kind of reminds me also of Final Fantasy with monsters always stopping etc etc...
It looks like it is only for playstation.
