I'd just have my family members each pay a fraction of it or for my first XBOX 360 I spit the cost, but got it as a birthday gift, so only $150 for it.

Yeah. Ebas is $350 for a 'convention style sketch' which is what all those pics I posted were. Well, all of the copic marker ones anyway.

If I remember correctly, that's about what Talent Caldwell quoted me too.

That Benitez sketch I've got posted at my comicartfans account cost me $60 bucks, and it's just a headshot.

David Finch charges $500, and Bryan Hitch charges several thousand for a commission.

I've seriously considered buying the $75 early entry pass to the Dallas Comic Con just so I have a chance to be one of the first people to Adam Hughes' table to commission something. It would be a great investment since everything he does seems to command prices in the upper three figures at minimum.

Alan, have you tried getting on the pre-list, to pick up at the table?

I know Tom Hodges takes a few orders in advance to finish up at the table.

As for Bryan Hitch, who in god's name is he to command Silvestri prices??

I emailed him about it, but I haven't heard back, which isn't promising.



Here's the quote about Hitch's commissions from the "Art of Comics" webpage that handles his art:

11"x17" $3,000-These are cover quality pieces penciled and inked by Bryan. 1-2 figures with background are what he intends at this price. A new quote can be given if more characters are desired or the subject matter is too involved but Bryan feels he can deliver the best art by keeping the amount of characters to 2. 17"x22" $4,500 - This monster will be penciled and inked by Bryan. The subject matter will be up to you but he reserves the right to quote a higher price if the amount of characters or the setting wanted is too complicated. He will be happy to do up to 6 characters but if you want more he will need to quote a new price.

Hitch is a good artist, but I just don't like his style. It's too overly realistic to me. It's part of the reason I never read The Ultimates.
