They should just let it be. I surprisingly did like Scream 4, but that came out almost ten years ago. They should of just did Scream 5 back then when they said it would, don't really care now.

It sucks because they had the perfect trilogy (okay I didn't love 2 or 3 but they were decent enough and it told a great story of Sydney Prescott's fight for survival and to preserve her mother's good name).

Now it's basically every other horror franchise that is being churned out for the hell of it just to make cheap cash. Wes Craven took the project on because he believed in Kevin Williamson's script and what it said about the current state of horror back in the 90's. Now it's just being done because it can be, instead of because it should be.

Yeah, I agree. That's the story with all horror movies nowadays, they make too many and always eventually ruin it SMH. I also agree the trilogy was perfect, even though I liked the fourth movie it wasn't needed.

I often wonder how long Dewey and/or Gail would have been kept around, if the crew hadn't been aware of David and Courteney's then-off screen romance.

I recall that Dewey was supposed to have been killed off at the end of the first movie, but they liked his chemistry with Courteney and so added on the he's alive scene at the end to set up his sequel appearance.

I do get the feeling that Gail was always planned to be a long-term character, but not necessarily as front and center as she was when they put her with Dewey in the sequels. The writers utilized their off-screen developing relationship and just stuck with it.

My Scream order is 1, 2,4,3. 3 was the worst and 4 is close right behind it.

1 was the best and most iconic!! 2 was good too but 1 had the iconic ope ing scene with Drew Barrymore!! Los Skeet Ulrich and Matrhew Liliard as the villains!

I hope 5 is good but its like why are they waiting another decade to make new movie again?

None of the killers will ever surpass Billy and Stu. That was just the perfect screwed-up serial killer dynamic.

Also, making Sydney's boyfriend one of the killers was a brave move. Especially as they had the audience thinking that he was wrongly accused for most of the movie.
