Thanks for that. Haven't heard much from Natasha lately.

Let's just all appreciate this creepy yet seductive scene in Hocus Pocus, when Sarah hypnotizes all the children of the town through song and magic ~ "Come Little Children..." :goof: :star:

I loved that song that played at that time. Haunting melody. :D
|
It was a strangely sexual scene for a kids' movie! :goof: Sarah looked great, and the melody sounded like something from Phantom of the Opera.
|
I think SJP character made it come across more sexualized then meant to maybe?
|
Possibly  Whether intentional or not, it definitely worked, because it added to the gothic horror element of using sexuality to lure/possess people. :evil_bat: That creepy lullaby!
The score for Speed (1994) was pretty amazing, ranging from action-packed to romantic ~ |

I loved the soundtrack for Speed, Gwen! Nice pick.
It's been on TV lately and the score as the bus is racing down that new highway. |
It was so fitting for the movie
Love the tension in the music as the bus is racing, plus the romantic theme when they survive the train explosion. |
It does have a lot of editing mistakes though....there are two more clicks of elevator noises at the opening scenes when it's 'on 3' and it clicks too much.
After the bus explodes and they're camped out in the shop across from the drop zone, Jack leaves Annie in the ambulance and then closes the back door, she gets out moments later and it's wide open. There are more but it annoys me! |
:rotfl: continuity errors always bug me, too.
My favorite film score, other than Horner's for TITANIC, is Patrick Doyle's for Mary Shelley's FRANKENSTEIN (1994) Here is a blend of 3 tracks from it  - |
my favorite score is Morricone's from Once Upon A Time in America. That pan flute makes me wanna cry everytime i hear it.
|
I loved the Hans Zimmer + James Newton Howard collaboration on the score for Batman Begins. :sigh:
|
I love Frankenstein, it had a fantastic soundtrack!
Your comment Matt on the Pan Flute, makes me think of the score for one of my all time favourite foreign films, "Pan's Labyrinth" by the brilliant Guillermo Del Toro! Extended Edition: |
