Very nice title banner

:star: Patrick Doyle scored two of my favorite dark romances: a Gothic horror (FRANKENSTEIN) and a Dickens' classic (GREAT EXPECTATIONS).

I actually really loved Great Expectations, that 1998 version was great, didn't love the new one they did recently. :nono:

Same! :high_five: I hated all the bad press the 1998 one got. Ethan Hawke and Gwyneth Paltrow made a great screen couple, and Alfonso Cuaron has a great eye for colors and direction. It had way more passion than the more recent version

Plus it was at the height of Gwyneth's career with her Oscar for Shakesphere in Love and she was such a sweetheart on screen.

Agreed. People say she was in way too many things back then, but I thought she had enough screen charisma to back it up.

She was great in Emma (1996) :daisy: another movie with a great score, by Rachel Portman. If you listen closely, you can hear similarities with her score for Chocolat

I loved Emma, she was fabulous in that.

Score of Chocolat was a great one too! :D

Being that we're in October and it's horror month for me, I wanted to make a nod to some of the classic sounds for horror.

"The Shining"

"Halloween"

"Nightmare on Elm Street"

Friday the 13th

And the classic of them all....

"Psycho"

TFTNT Ladies ;)

Oh Gwen, thanks for the congratulations - having sleepless night but it is worth it (but I'm experienced in being a daddy) ;)
Glad you got your internet issues sorted out :)

Yes October is certainly a horror month
This song from the Scream soundtrack starring Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox, Matthew Lillard and David Arquette

Another classic horror movie The Fog starring Jamie Lee Curtis and the epic theme to go with it

The remake for that in 2005 was descent too, I liked it. Good soundtrack.
