haha a flashback or prequel.

characters are dead and then not through out the franchise. but Gisele it was right in front of us. some of the writing has been left to desired the messy timeline, killing off Letty and then bring her back, etc.

of course i'm happy to see her again. but at the same time, why killed her off in the first place?

why would anyone think it's a good idea? even if say Michelle doesn't want to be in the films anymore.

It did feel soap opera ish.

Done for shock value, though I do believe they thought that would be the end of her originally.

I was thrilled when she was first hinted to be alive at the end of Five, but grew to hate it in the sixth movie because of how it regressed Dom. He had finally dealt with his grief and found a great woman to share his life with aka Elena, then Letty appears with amnesia and the whole thing becomes farcical. His priority has to become her, and I thought it did him more harm than good.

Elena was a great character. as much as i like Letty, it sucks for Elena that Dom left her. not to mention what happened to her ultimately.

I don't see why Letty and Dom couldn't have just reconciled in a friendly way by the end of 6

Forcing the romance back into their scenes just made him look bad, as if he'd used Elena.

I really don't like that their only solution with that love triangle was to kill her off. Just seems so lazy, as if a woman serves no other purpose once her relationship has ended

They clearly had it in their heads that Letty fans wouldn't want her around, as if they were threatened or something. But I was a Letty fan when Elena first appeared and it didn't stop me from liking Elena

It's that type of franchise where they respond to vocal fans and will bring back people (even from the dead) if they're vocal enough about it

But I guess Elena isn't counted in the same league as Letty or Han

. Is it dumb to keep hope alive for Gisele? I would even take a dream sequence at this point
