The Paul Walker documentary said he loved the water. Fishing, diving Tec and preserving sea life. Various clips shown of him on boats doing good deeds. His friends said he never boasted about any of that, didn't want media attention around his private life or activism.

Gisele! i wish she wasn't killed off.

Han's return, i have mixed feelings. why killed him off in the first place in Tokyo Drift? not to mention the timeline with Tokyo Drift. such an after thought.

I think during the making of Tokyo Drift, the writers underestimated how the popularity of both the character, Han and the actor, Sung Kang would emerge.

So they basically got in a mess when they realized you've killed someone off and now have to spend various movies doing prequel plots as an excuse to keep showing him.

Then by the ninth one, they basically gave up and just reversed his death apparently. Although I haven't seen any beyond the sixth one.

I don't understand how and when his series transitioned from people competing over fast cars, to bad guys trying to kill people competing in fast cars

... i don't know, this series confuses me

i know what u mean. i do like the franchise but yes it took a direction. and it seems like the movies were even more popular for that reason. i do miss the more underground
street racing subculture like we saw in F1 to F3. Starting from F4 it was catching bad guys in fast cars.

Yes exactly it's like someone said behind the scenes, "we need a reason to keep this series going... I know, let's make it like an action thriller video game series where you have a Big Boss chapter every installment"

That F9 spoiler that reminds me of one of the later Friday the 13th movies, when it completely jumped the shark

turning it into action movies is to make more money. the over the top effects and stuns, it's a bit much. i still find it enjoyable, sit back and relax film to disconnect us from the crappy world right now. i still wish we can go back to the street racing subculture.
