Okay, thanks for letting me know about this thread.

Center Stage is probably one of my favorite movies of all time, and even though I've seen it a million times and have it on DVD, I watched it when it came on TV the other day...only to find out that they made a second one! I set it to record on my DVR and finally got around to watching it last night.

I definitely don't think it's better than the first movie by any means, it's a lot to live up to. But I thought the two of them had really great chemistry together, and it's always good to see old cast members! The "finale" performance wasn't great, IMO, but still a very cute movie.

That was my only disappoint in the movie too. The ending dance was not as amazing as the 1st movie. It was good, just not great or outstanding. I think because the finale of the 1st movie was just way great. It was hard to live up to. Overall though, loved the movie.

I completely agree with you guys. The last dance didn't live up to the original Center Stage's finale. I just loved the chemistry between Tommy and Kate in this movie. And I love Kenny Wormald.

Totally agree.

What did you think of Ethan coming back? I thought he did a great job. Wasn't to fond of the short hair, but I loved his dance at the club and I squeeled when I saw he still had the bike.

I loved having both of the guys back. I didn't like the hair on Ethan, either. It was funny how they mentioned the funding for his company was gone becuase I was like why is he back with ABA? I also thought it was funny they made him the guy again, hitting on the young dancers and trying to take the girl home.

I'm glad she didn't go with him. She knew she was crazy about Tommy.

So after watching this movie on repeat I am obsessed with the song "Loosen Up" you know the part where Kate and Tommy are practicing. But I can't find the song anywhere to download, buy, etc. Anyone know where I can find it?

it was here in Australia..
went to see it..and i was a bit disappointed..
yes the main leads had good chemistry..but the last dance wasn't all that good..and the storyline wasn't exactly compelling (just my opinion)

Nope, it was a straight to tv and then direct to dvd, but that doesn't come out for a few months.

Yep, we all agree that the ending dance wasn't as great as the 1st one, but still, Kate and Tommy were cute.

Ooohhh did not know Kenny did a movie. The dude's an amazing dancer. May just have to catch the movie on Wednesday then.

Good video. Also love him in Chris Brown's "Run It" and You Got Served. He's also in and likely choreographed BoA's "Eat U Up" video. She's an Asian singer, so her English singing may be off, but the dancing is amazing. Check it out on YouTube.
