Penn Badgley Playing Jeff Buckley In Greetings from Tim Buckley...

Quote:
Following the true story of the time leading up to Jeff Buckley’s performance at his late father’s tribute ceremony, the plot will follow his romance with a young woman and his slow understanding of the man who abandoned him as a child. As he finds his own voice, Jeff performed a cathartic rendition of I Never Asked To Be Your Mountain, a song written by Tim Buckley about his wife and infant son. While he never intended the concert to push his musical career to the next level, Buckley’s appearance nevertheless saw him accepted more than ever before.

Woody Announces Bop Decameron Cast

Quote:
So the list in full, then: Woody Allen, Alec Baldwin, Roberto Benigni, Penelope Cruz, Judy Davis, Jesse Eisenberg, Greta Gerwig, Ellen Page, with co-stars Antonio Albanese, Fabio Armiliata, Alessandra Mastronardi, Ornella Muti, Flavio Parenti, Alison Pill, Riccardo Scamarcio and Alessandro Tiberi.

Given that this is the Woodster we’re talking about, the plot is still largely under wraps, though what little has been reported features four vignettes, with two of them revolving around American characters, with a couple (including Allen as the husband) travelling to Italy to meet the family of their daughter’s fiancé.

I've never really gotten into Woody Allen films...not sure why. But that is a nice cast he has there.

Douglas Booth Is Romeo To Hailee Steinfeld's Juliet

Quote:
Good news for True Grit’s Hailee Steinfeld: her Juliet now has a Romeo for her to whisper sweet nothings to from her balcony, as Variety brings word that Blighty’s own Douglas Booth has made it through the slings and arrows* of casting to win the role in the new take on Shakespeare’s classic romantic tragedy.

Booth, who has been seen in miniseries The Pillars of the Earth and movies such as Hunters of the Kahri and From Time to Time, has a role in Miley Cyrus rom com LOL in the can and will also play Pip in the new TV version of Great Expectations. He beat out 300 other young hopefuls for the part of the star-crossed lover.

Steinfeld will be his equally ill-fated lady, with Holly Hunter as her nurse and confidante, Ed Westwick as Tybalt and Kodi Smit-McPhee as Benvolio.

Director Carlo Carlei will shoot in Italy, working from a script adapted by Julian Fellowes. Don’t go expecting any big pop cultural/post-modern updating this time as this one looks to be following a much more traditional route. So: lots of speeches, plenty of angst and the inevitable tale of woe, then.
*Yes, we know it's from Hamlet.

Definitely not surprised but, good for them! I think that they definitely deserve going out with a bang! I kind of wonder if the film will be recognized with a best Picture nomination. Not that it would ever win, but I think it'd be a nice gesture for the series.

The movie was excellent so I'm happy to see it shattering records all over the place and I love that it's not just barely breaking records--it's demolishing them.

Yeah it seemed most of the audience went on Friday - mainly midnight, which is kinda, insane. I waited until Sunday. But I mean, I'm beyond impressed with how well this did. I just wonder with Captain America and FWB coming out this weekend, how much momentum will HP have in week 2?

Idk, I've seen a bunch of comments like that. I just have this icky feeling they are going to gear it towards people i can't stand14 year olds... and someone like Zac Efron will play Johnny. Or worse, instead of taking place in the 60s, it will take place in the 80s. I should really just stop thinking about it now.
