So I guess it's good we didn't get it then I'd rather see Ian on VD than this show I think I think it had something to do with it being a spin off of dawson's creek. A lot of spinoffs don't do too well.

Oh I remember reading something like that that this show was a spin off but I don't know which character was on DC either.

Yeah, I remember the spin off thing too. Maybe it was a side character that showed up in DC or something and ended up being a lead here

Will was the character that was on Dawson's Creek. The show essentially was supposed to be about him but he sort of got the back burner with better storylines for the other characters on YA. He also just randomly showed up in like two or three episodes of Dawson's creek as Pacey's friend from when they were kids. Andie and Will went on a few dates and they were cute, but then he went over to YA and there was no more mention of Andie at all. If you're going to do a spin off I think you need to have a more beloved character to be on the show to make it work. I don't think anyone cared enough about Will to tune into the show or at least not enough to have the ratings be good enough to keep the show i guess. I remember really liking it though from when it first aired, but I was more intrigued by Jake's character and basically everyone else but Will.

I really don't think DC fans would follow Will through to YA if he was not really an important character... Was Will the "guy with financial problems"?

Yup he was I think he was only able to go to the school on a scholarship and all the rest of them were really rich. Will was just a "townie"

Oh thanks for the information. I only discovered YA later when it was already off the air, I started watching clips online b/c of Ian so I had no idea about Will & yeah I was way more interested in Hamilton/Jake than anything else.
