The way they've been writing Stefan's attitude toward Damon has been very bizarre especially if they were trying to repair the relationship. I could've done w/out more of Stefan's sitting on his high horse telling Damon he doesn't want to be like him. It's like ok we get it Stefan thinks he's better than Damon
 he's been hammering it in for 7 years. Then just leaving Damon to face danger alone not knowing if he'd come out okay? Just seemed odd. Like I get that Damon pleaded w/him to leave but it would seem like Stefan would just follow behind him or at least wait right outside the vault to make sure he made it out. Hopefully w/Stefan determined to find him & save him they can write the relationship better. __________________

In the books, an evil being (they called it a Kitsune) basically takes over the town and it possesses Damon.
 It makes him do things that he wouldn't he ever do  __________________
