It was made specifically for the purpose of tearing down Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and everything that Lucas created by making Luke and Han look really bad, because Kennedy is jealous and envious of Lucas' accomplishment but can't come up with anything of her own. So why not obliterate Han and Luke and attempt to not only replace them with Rey, but also gaslight people into questioning why they ever liked Luke and Han in the first place? It's so transparently obvious it's pathetic.

I'm not sure she functions like him. We've heard an awful lot about Abrams' and Johnson's own visions.

the first 2 movies he did

haven't seen the 3rd one much, maybe 1-2 times and that doesn't give me much weight on opinion for it
