They're having 40 movies in the next few years and DOFP,GotG and the others show connections. In FC,Azrael is one of the team members,but he's also Kurt's father. They also show Spyke, Storm's nephew in X3 and DOFP.

This thread doesn't have to be limited to strictly family since there are easter eggs that a lot of people didn't catch. Sabertooth is related to Wolverine,but he has a lot of connections to other characters,like Mystique. Seemingly random characters in one or two scenes have a huge storyline coming up in various films,like The New Mutants(a division of X-men). Some of the other movie family characters were so subtle that it was easy to miss them.

Is it okay if we have foreshadowing from the previous films or stuff in DOFP that actually goes back much farther as far as interactions go? I have a list of characters we missed from one movie to the other,like Gambit. I don't know if teams or villains should count, either.

I wanted to start this so it doesn't keep being brought up in comic,cartoon,individual or couple threads. It's a topic in and of itself and we can discuss other stuff in those threads.

I like the combined title with having the three in the title gives more of an idea of what the thread is, strange connections doesn't really describe the purpose of the thread while we could have Family History/Trivia/Facts and than just think of a title

Fine with me-I just used the one we came up with last time. I'm seriously pumped for all the movies coming out. All the family stuff is crazy-I'll post about GOTG on the Avengers board, but they have some serious connections. What's awesome is that they can't ignore the stuff in X-Force and Apocalypse. It won't be the story if they only include Jlaw and the current cast.

The OP will be very helpful for me because I'm not familiar with the family connections of the X-Men. They aren't explored that much in the movies. Like for example, how the hell did Peter became Erik's son? Are we even going to see that?

That's a good point and my opinion is that because we are dealing with movies which is limited, that we won't find out in the movies but my thought is that Peter was before even First Class with how it seems that Peter is a teenager and First Class was only 10 years before DOFP. BUT isn't his sister Erik's too, so was Erik involved with her after First Class

I really have no idea. The thing is comic readers may know this but casual moviegoers will not. I myself am not well-versed with the comics so what I find out surprises me. It seems to me Peter doesn't know that Erik is his dad (in DOFP) and if I didn't know their relation, I would just think they're acquaintance. Maybe a future X-Men movie may get this reveal soon as not all moviegoers are comic readers.
