I think it's only fair we be allowed to bring up DC if it's relevant to the Marvel we're talking about. A board where everything is rigidly regimented and one can never go off topic is a board that holds no interest for me.

Some people like to say that not going off topic is FF policy, but in truth it's one of those rules that mods can choose how much to apply. In the five years I was a mod, on two boards, I rarely enforced off-topic restrictions. I was happy to engage in of-topic discusssion myself or let others do so and it helped keep my boards alive. And Jerry D always told me I was a good mod.

I grew up with people always trying to shut me up and shut me down. It had a scarring effect. I react very badly when people try to limit my freedom of speech.

Let's please allow a reasonably relaxed approach on this board, where we can go off-topic sometimes, where, for example, DC can be brought into a conversation on Marvel when it becomes relevant.

I can't post on a board where I feel I'm endlessly walled in by restrictions on what I post. That's not enjoyable or worthwhile for me.

IF its connected and relevant to Marvel than I'm fine with DC IF its in talks with Marvel but DC without Marvel thinking OT

I'm fine blending rules a bit aka Marvel not making this just X-Men but I think its its DC with no conversation linking to Marvel at all - thinking best to keep that in OT - but if its DC comparing to Marvel where both are being spoken than I'm fine with that arrangement

Alright I'll try to work with that. But I think it should be pointed out that some conversations just naturally develop out of others and if you try to move a conversation to another thread it often kills it. I hope you can be tolerant and lenient in situations like that.

As long as its tried to keep strictly DC within OT or besides than I'll be lenient if it were to happen like if DC|Marvel combined starts out to turn strictly DC after a bit, than the attempt is there

You know I'm pretty easy going and not trying to be a bitch but some direction should be had where I'm completely lenient allowing Marvel pretty much out in the board but strictly DC should be limited where am alright if it were a joint DC|Marvel discussion to happen

If you guys want to do a tie-in DC|Marvel combination conversations if that is something that can be done - than I'm fine with it but solely DC than OT
