Why do we need all three of them? :facepalm: Isn't Jessica enough? There's no focus to any of these films anymore.

Exactly. She was created by the High Evolutionary, and had nothing to do with Peter's storyline. :facepalm:

I think the Spider-Women movie is animated like Into the Spider-Verse. I think Sony owns the name Spider-Woman. :shrug:

I have no idea why, dragonfire. :shrug: She doesn't have anything to do with Peter Parker's storyline. Jessica Drew was created by the High Evolutionary. She's not even linked with Spider-Gwen and Silk. She's also an Avenger and a SHIELD agent.

Yeah, that's dumb. Just because she has "Spider" in her name, that doesn't mean that Sony has any rights to her. Stan Lee created her specifically so that DC or anyone else couldn't try to create their own Spider-Woman, but he made sure that she had nothing to do with Peter's storyline and was her own character. Her storyline is tied into the Wundagore Mountain storyline.

The 90's cartoon wasn't original, dragonfire. ;) There was an 80's cartoon and a 60's cartoon.

Marvel '90s cartoons were crap. You can see that by just looking at the animation. I remember having the deepest contempt for the X-Men one. They even put out a comic based on it, which I avoided like the plague. And now it's referred to as "everyone's favorite version of the X-Men from the '90s." Obviously I don't count.

I agree with you about the 90's X-Men cartoon. I wasn't a fan of that one either. It was very 90's. :lol:

It was very primitive. And I resent this seemingly common assumption that everybody likes it. I spent a large part of the '90s reading X-Men and related comics, NOT watching X-Men cartoons. The comics declined in the 2nd half of the '90s, but there was some great stuff. 1993 was glorious, with JRJR's second run on Uncanny X-Men, the Fatal Attractions Magneto return crosssover and the Avengers/X-Men Genosha crossover. Alan Davis finished off his great second run on Exscalibur. The year also had the best Cable and X-Force stuff. Though Cable's great 2-part series with JRJR was done the year before. Around the turn of '93/'94 we had the great Scott/Jean wedding, followed by an interesting limited series about Scott and Jean raising Cable in the far future. Generation X emerged in 1994, a promising new comic title in the New Mutants mold, but with a fresh take. Age of Apocalypse in early 1995 was grand and powerful, but also ended the period of '90s greatness. There were some good things after that, but the X-Books went downhill from there and I dumped them in 1997. Between 1997 and 2016 I mostly avoided superhero comics. That's how much the decline put me off. But I had fond memories of the earlier '90s, which eventually drew me back.

Yeah, and I missed out on a lot of that stuff from the early 90's. I kept collecting comics up to 1992, but after 1993 I couldn't afford it anymore. :(
