"Hopeless"! I like her because I like Evangeline Lilly, but I can see why you'd be pissed off with her and Lang. I do like Lang also, because I like Paul Rudd, but I don't feel strongly about either of those characters. Anyway, the first Ant Man film was sympathetic but rather too gentle, juvenile and lightweight. They really kind of rubbed it in by having Ant Man fight his enemy over a bunch of kids' toys. Not good. But yeah, I do get your annoyance over them, Hank and Jan dispossessed, etc. And Michelle Pfeiffer is the wrong casting for Jan at any age -too blonde and too much of an alpha.

Hopeless is right. But again, the fact that this was only done to accommodate Edgar Wright and not for any narrative or cinematic reasons really sucks, sum1. He didn't even stick around to make the movie because he didn't want his film to be in the MCU, so it was a waste, in my opinion. And I don't appreciate what Marvel is doing to Hank and Janet in the comics to accommodate the MCU, getting them out of the way as an inconvenience. Janet's once again on the sidelines as this Nadia character appropriates her legacy, and Hank is in the damn Soul Gem now. When will this bull end?

Anyway, back to Deadpool. I'm hoping that this film not only serves as a sequel, but also as a backdoor pilot for the X-Force movie and that Deadpool is out of the future X-Force films. They need to focus on Cable after this one.

I think it's pretty good bet that Deadpool will be central to future X-Force films, unfortunately.

Really? I'd prefer this to just be some training wheels and then let Cable be the centerpiece from then on. They don't have to make everything about Deadpool. Jeezz, Hollywood didn't give a about Deadpool ten years ago.

I'm beginning to despair of the MCU, outside the Netflix shows. Like for example Thor Ragnarok was fun but annoyingly made a joke out of everything Thor and ruined Thor by destroying his hammer, cutting his distinctive Thor hairstyle and destroying Asgard.

I'm sure I won't like it when the X-Men are rebooted and done Disney style, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. Luckily we've established this board as being about more than whatever are the currrent movies of the moment.
