I only gave up during the final season, Rita. After that episode where Maddie lost her baby. The show was just unwatchable for me after that.

There's no need to stick with a show that's failed you. I dumped Lost in season 4 after the show had turned to crap and they'd killed off Alex (Tania Raymonde) in a classic example of the woman-in-the-fridge trope.

You don't? Then how do you remember sticking with it? But yeah, Moonlighting lost me after the first episode of its final season in 1988. It was really saddening. I did watch the series finale in 1989, though. Man, it sucked watching all of those shows I grew up on end like that. The 80s just felt like home.

I agree with you, sum1. Lost got totally ridiculous after a while. Heroes got even worse.

That's another way of looking at it, which is not wrong either

I feel sad because so many of the shows I loved have ended, and the new ones don't seem anywhere near the equal of the ones that came before.

I never watched the return of Heroes. I had a bad feeling about it.

You mean Heroes: Reborn? I watched that. It wasn't bad at first, but it soon went off the rails as well. Tim Kring is just hopeless.
