When something this terrible happens there are no words. They just completely fail.

This is incredibly tragic.

Can you imagine waking up one day to go to class as usual and this happening? I don't understand the lack of security that universities and college's have? It's just awful

it's not that universities have a lack of security, it's just that there are FAR too many people and buildings and classes spread around a campus, that there can't be someone watching EVERYTHING all the time.
besides the colleges are supposed to be an open environment where you don't feel like you're being confined there. my thoughts and prayers go out to all the family and friends of the victims and the whole VT community. 'Today We Are All Hokies' __________________

i was so shocked to hear about this last night and all of the details. my deepest sympathies to those directly affected by the shooting. i hope none of you lost anyone

This is situation sickens me, what a crazy ex-boyfriend the shooter was.Like everyone has said, my heart and prayers go out to the families and friends of the victiims.I have family in Virginia, not too far from where Virginia Tech is and a friend of my family's granddaughter goes to Virginia Tech and we haven't heard if she is alive or not.
