Yes. This suspect has already been convicted of robbery & kidnapping. I don't ride The MAX a ton, but I do when I'm trying to get to Vancouver, Wa & nothing like this has ever happened that I have seen thankfully, but things like happening are hard to avoid if someone wants to really harm another person, since there are no metal detectors or security on them. One of the dead was a 20-year army veteran. If he couldn't stop that guy from... well, stabbing him and the other two guys, then I don't know what "stepping up security" will do, to be honest.

Well TriMet is adding more security guards at least through the Rose Festival this month which ends on June 11th. I was reading about it in Wednesday's issue of The Oregonian earlier this week. The 15 security guards & 75 supervisors are already going to work overtime. They are also hiring 15 new fare inspectors.

From what the news are saying, a van hit pedestrians on London Bridge. Something has happened at Borough Market (stabbings according to the news), and something else at Vauxhall.

Last night was the benefit concert for Manchester, right? (It airs on TV here in Canada later today)

I don't know. I hate to try and figure out what the sort of coward who does this thinks like, but it feels like maybe they were trying to piggyback on what happened in Manchester. Make people think there's more of them than we think/there are.
