LOL I fish but I'm one of those types that throws them back in the lake.

Wow backpacking across Italy, must be amazing! My parents and my sister have gone there but on one of those EF Tours things. They adored the place.

Okay so I just watched this amazing interview. It was about an 11 year old girl who got lost in a swamp for four days. She said that she wanted to view nature and take pictures and she just ended up getting lost. She ate bark and plants and then she slept in a hollow log, bushes, and a tree stump. The only damage she sustained were bug bites and dehydration but other than that she was completely fine. How incredible!

I always love hearing survival stories like that, especially when they surround kids.

I can't imagine what she was going through. I think I would've been traumatized by it. It's amazing how she got through that time she was lost in the woods.

Yeah and she had Asperger's Syndrome on top of that.

I know 2 kidswith Autism. They are relatives and are brother and sister. The oldest one has Aspergers. She is very intelligent. Just doesn't do well with socializing.

That's crazy. That's really a lot to have to go through. It's incredible that she managed to survive for 4 days. That's really amazing.

That is amazing she did so well for 4 days! The boy relative I know with severe Autism would have been very stressed out! Also would have been been running and full of panic. The older sister with Aspergers would have been so traumatizedthat she wouldhave been in a catatonic type state and need therapy!

Bumping this thread.

I just got back from 2 weeks in Yellowstone. It was amazing. So much wildlife which was the highlight of the trip. Saw a total of 22 bears!

Good to know Bears are stills seen around Yellowstone National Park!! Our family use to go there yearly once a year for about 15 years in a row! Always a treat! Would go with 1 or 2 other families we were close to.

Awww, so cute some look like grizzly bears. We would go by a building onour way out of town that had a Polar bear, Black bear, and Brown bear. An excellent taxidermist did the work on all three.

Happy you guys like the pics.

I love the beach too even though I'm no where in the vicinity of one. I just hate what have been done to them: oil spills, garbage, human waste, etc. It's a very tragic thing.

I hate that we use our world as our own dump site. It's gross and pathetic. It's like the world doesn't matter only our own human self interests.

I the beach, ocean, mountains, camping, hiking, lakes, rivers, streams, fishing, etc.

And it is sad that over the years have become careless(not everyone) with littering and polluting land, air, & water.

Many of us only think of the here and now disregaurding the damage we are doing permenately to the enviornment.

I wished that I went camping/hiking when I was younger never been but do love the beach. Want to go out West for the effyin gorgeous mountins in BC though think we have them here in Ontario but up North
