Sourburst, my accent is still very much American but there is one thing that never changed me and that is my sense of humor - it is very British with the sarcasm and quickwit. But I'm very adaptable because I use my American slang and humor in certain places, and then use my British humor and slang when needed in certain situations. My destiny coming back to England was when I met my wife who is a Brit in San Diego and it went from there

I think it was a surprise for her when I told her about Only Fools and Horses when we first met. She was shocked that I knew about OFAH then I spilled the beans regarding my British roots, then I proved it by telling her about Cockney slang and from there she realised my London connection. And yes, once upon a time I had a London accent.

Sadly i have not.

And that is the show of my childhood, it was always on repeat. It was, if not still, the best show going. "No income tax, no vat, no money back, no guarantee" I couldn't swear as a child so just called everyone a plonker

Thanks Norman. I know this program was never aired in America, especially when I lived there for 26 years, which is a shame because they would have loved it (if they can understand the hardcore London slang)
