Oh gosh, that would be strange.

My parents' place is a mess. My mum is one of those people who never throws anything away so there's junk everywhere. Dad has actually joked that the reason they'll never move house is because there's no way it'd be possible to relocate all their junk.

Anyway, whenever they come over to my place, my mum's sweeping and vaccuming and doing the dishes and tidying the place up (which drives me MAD incidently, I'm quite capable of cleaning my own house thanks very much) and dad says to her, "How come you never do this at our place?"

I've got a family lunch tomorrow. Joy. Wouldn't be so bad, but hubby's family is totally dysfunctional and we had a BBQ with them last weekend and this weekend his uncle is cooking for everyone. It's not like we can get out of it either, coz his aunt and uncle are just visiting (they live in London) so it's not like we see them much, so saying we can't go to the lunch would be kinda rude. Oh well, at least there'll be booze there, so perhaps I can just knock back a few and it'll dull the pain of having to deal with the crazy family.

I can imagine my mum will come and clean up my house when I finally move out. She just cant help herself she has to clean, she cleans for the sake of it now at home. it drives us all insane, because they house is clean, but she sees dust that only she can see... its invisible to us

I hope the family lunch wasnt too bad phee. I know those things can bee more torture than the can be fun at times.

Phee I agree with your dad what's wrong with their house
If she had less junk around maybe she'll clean up you and your dad should say that to her
I spend most of the day watching Buffy S6 and S7

Oh we do say that to her, so does my sister, and my brother, and my hubby, and pretty much everyone. But she can't help herself, she just never throws stuff away, and I don't think any amount of nagging on our part is ever gonna make her change.

The family lunch didn't turn out too bad thankfully. The food was actually rather awesome. Hubby's uncle is originally from Pakistan, and he was cookin' up traditional fare and it all tasted sensational.

Im glad the family lunch went well Phee.

you cant complain when the food is good. esp when its stuff you wouldnt or couldnt make yourself... as it seems like an extra treat.

I think you mum gets sentimentally attached to all her Junk huh.

Hi everyone

Had a great time last night with my friends.

We saw The Day After Tomorrow and oh my gosh it was a bit scary. But its not usually the movie that I would see. Then we went to an organic restaurant for dinner, it was yummy

Anyway I'm just zipping some photos to send to my friends, I'll be here for a couple of hours
