It was, by far, the best writing she has done in regards to the Twilight saga, that's for sure. And if she fine tunes it, it could be on par with The Host, which I think is the strongest of her writing.

I only read the first quarter of it, probably, but the writing was much, much better than any of the books in the saga.
 It was almost like reading two completely different authors. Was it a masterpiece? No. The plot itself was interesting but the story dragged a little. Okay, a lot. But the point is, it's proof that with a little polishing SM isn't so bad at the whole writing thing.__________________

I suppose every author has some work that they put out that isn't the best work. I think most authors don't send it to publish it if it is that bad but I don't think she looked at it that way. As far as Twilight, I think the publisher saw money making gold and overlooked the fact that the book isn't the greatest.
 I really blame the editor/publisher for not sending it back to her and telling her to retool it and make it better.__________________

Random question that literally just popped into my head...
Is SM a baseball fan?  I mean, the Cullens play baseball and so does Bella's step-dad. I wonder if baseball was just the easiest sport to write or if she is a fan of the sport.__________________

Is it discouraging to think we would spend more time and put more effort into coming up with questions than she would thinking up answers to them? I think it is. I think she'd just come with some convoluted nonsense that makes no sense b/c she's tired answering questions about these books.
