Wet Hot American Summer (2001)

Camp director Beth (Jeanine Garafolo) is hideously awkward (''You're hot, right? By all accounts you would be considered hot. Is that right?''). But so is her college professor-crush, Henry (David Hyde Pierce). Their first meeting doesn't go so well — he yells his refusal to teach her campers about space — but the threat of a crumbling space station falling on the camp brings them closer together. And we can't think of anything more awkward, er, romantic, than that.
