This show had me in stitches. Wednesday nights were the time I didn't want to be bothered. Watching Perfect Strangers & Head of the Class...it was one of my favorite hours of television.

I miss those days too. It wasn't until 2009 that I found any show interesting. They just don't make TV shows like they used to.

There's some good ones here and there, but there was just a lot more in the 80s. Not just good shows, but a lot of wildly out there shows that were different.

And that is what made watching TV so much fun in the 80's.

It's true, the best shows came from 80's. Today's tv just isn't the same. Heck most shows don't even bother with an opening theme song anymore. That's one of the things I miss most.

Today they aird the episode where Balki thinks he's Elvis! PRICELESS! Bronson does a killer Elvis impersonation.

I miss opening theme songs too. I used to be so excited every season to see if the opening credits were new. It was just part of what made TV iconic.

Yes exactly! Now shows can't even be bothered. I 3 second opening card. Very uncreative.

People's attention spans are so short now. That's what one insider said about not having opening credits. They'll switch and go to some other show. It's pretty sad when someone can't withstand opening credits of a TV show which are usually less than a minute long.

It really is. Now a days people need something NOW or they don't care, so sadly spending 30 seconds on an opening song, just isn't an opition. Plus now there are so many commercials most shows would rather spend those extra few seconds for more show time than wasting it on an opening.

I heard someone on Twitter saying "Who has time to listen to a CD all the way through, watch a movie or watch a TV these days?!" People are busy, busy, busy and in a hurry.

That is interesting...that tweet, mainly because even though there are only a handful of new shows I enjoy to watch, I do try to make time to watch the whole episode. As far as CD's go, I can listen to a whole CD and still enjoy it. It's all about time managment and that saying...one must stop and smell the roses. I mean, right now I'm watching a movie called "Grumpy Old Men". So far it is pretty funny. I even went and ordered a show from the 90's I enjoyed a lot called "The Adventures of Sinbad." I say, it's all in what someone wants to watch. If a show is good, then one will take the time to enjoy the show, the characters and the plotline...same with a movie. It's all in the eyes of the beholder.

Very true. I am never too busy not to stop and enjoy the things I do, which are movies, music and TV. Enjoy what you enjoy and make the time. I think a lot of people nowadays kind of overcomplicate things. You said it best. Stop and smell the roses.

By the way, I love "Grumpy Old Men". Saw it when it came out in theaters.

Grumpy Old Men turned out to be one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time. I could not stop laughing. They don't make comedy movies the way they used to either. I guess that is why I'm extremely picky about what I watch and listen to these days.
