Everyone has their moment and every moment passed. I was personally a fan of Jackie Earl Haley's Freddy. It was uncomfortable. It worked. I'd be so okay with another one whether it's remake, sequel, prequel. I just want more. Hopefully the success of Halloween green lights stuff like a new Nightmare and a new Friday (given Victor Miller and Sean Cunningham can pull their heads out of their asses long enough to realize they're fn over fans).

As far as I'm concerned, they can retire the franchise and I would be okay with that. It's easier with other franchises when you've had several people playing the character, but this one is different. If it continues, then it continues for a new generation, but it isn't my generation and won't really matter much to me. "Elm Street" means a lot to me, they all do, but there is just something special for me about it. If the old Elm Street is over and Robert is definitely not doing it, then I am okay with letting it go. If they make more and other people are happy with it, then great. I just can't get interested and excited about that.
