I think it's good. Not everything has to completely touch the 'Reset' button. You can have new characters but still keep it in the same universe. A new movie that lives in a world where what happened before happened. That way you can incorporate things (Characters, places, etc.) from the original films into a new movie to be mixed with the new. Everybody wins.

Well, Zach Galligan ("Billy") is all for it. I read an interview with him where he said Phoebe would probably be interested in doing it. They probably don't really need anyone else but them. Maybe Corey Feldman. Maybe Billy's mom.
