I love the Golden Girls. It's the best 80s sitcom show ever and I wasn't even born during those years! All the characters are really funny and never fail to make me laugh.

I was watching the "Empty Nest" theme song a few days ago and there was Sophia Petrillo. In a way, I was like 'Oh, yeah!', but the specific spinoff connection that character had to the show evades me. Anyone remember?

I think the girls and Dr. Weston were next door neighbors, or were at least on the same street. So, just friendly neighbors I guess.

Boy, Sophia(Estelle Getty) sure got around!. She was on The Golden Girls, made some guest shots on Empty Nest, went on to The Golden Palace after TGG was over, and then back as a series regular on Empty Nest.

This Saturday, Betty White is getting the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Screen Actor's Guild Awards.

I watched Betty's appearance in the Screen Actor's Guild Awards and she still is funny and looks great to this day.
