Given she was a teenager. Even if they had living on bases, with more restrictions. You would think she could have had more leesway and freedom. Of course he had be a hardass so she could rebel.

Of course in this movie, rebelling is to try out for a dance contest LOL.

Love the movie. I have it on DVD. But just bought it on Blu ray.

They needed something for her to battle against. So, he could come around at the end of the movie...
