Val, Secret Smile was released in the Netherlands on DVD. Do you know if English audio is available on the dvd? I don't really understand that dutch site

REALLY? I'll have to run to the store to get it asap And Dutch DVDs are always with English audio, they never dub stuff in Holland and I'm sure there is an option to turn the subtitles off too!

Anna, I'm curious to see that list! I tried making mine some time ago but I don't really get past 5 guys or so. David obviously being number one. I really don't know what happened, I used to be able to think of 30 guys, easily! I guess my standards changed a bit since I got into DW/David

Secret Smile was the first big thing I saw him in, I'm not counting Harry Potter because he wasn't in it all that much, but I do remember feeling sorry for him that he was going to be typecast as creepy dudes.

I'm so glad that didn't happen! If anything, I think a lot of people would have trouble now with seeing him as anything other than the good guy. Not that he doesn't play villains fantastically convincing, of course. I really don't think he'll ever be typecast though, not even after he quits Doctor Who (which will be never. Hear that David? Don't you dare leave ).

Oh you should watch it! He's absolutely wonderful in it, very creepy though, but in a good way well, if you're a fan, that is. If you don't know who he is/don't care about him outside the role (how could anyone not?!!) he's just plain creepy

I didn't really know his acting skills at the time again, he just seemed like another Barty Crouch Jr, but now I've seen more of his roles, I don't associate them with the rest, he's so good, he's still gorgeous in every role though, good or evil!

I don't think he would dare quit Doctor Who with his fanbase, haha, if he doesn't want to be tied down and persuaded one on one with some fangirls.

But yeah, I agree. The more I see of him, the more convinced I am that there isn't anything he couldn't do. And the great thing about Doctor Who is that he gets to do so many different things, there are SO many layers to the Doctor, I doubt it's a role that any actor would get tired of quickly.
