Here's the thing, I like the character of Ianto in theory, yet, I can't help being frustrated by what I thought he could potentially be, and what his character was like in S1, but he had some great moments.
I don't blame GDL he can only do his best with the script. Add me, because I do like him, so much so that the writers irritate me with the lack of development. __________________

luvin82029, thanks for bringing over that clip of Garth singing Roadhouse Blues in Cardiff. I love the way he sounds. He so adorable, his features convey this innocence but when he sings it’s this rough rock that’s so awesome. Yeah, Siobhan, I agree, Ianto was undeveloped and so was Tosh. From thing I’ve heard though both of them will be getting significantly more screen time so I’m excited. Ianto is like a big puppy I want to hug all the time. Mandy __________________

I think most of the characters were undeveloped to make room for Gwen *shrug* I dont say that to be mean or anything but Eve got ten times as much screentime as anyone else and I dont think thats Eve's fault AT All its the managemnt. They should have shared it out better.
I hope Ianto will have a bigger role in season 2. __________________

Yeah, she did get a lot of screen time but then again I always felt that Owen got his just due as well so I guess for me it was always Ianto and Tosh who were underdeveloped and Ianto more than anyone. At least with Tosh she had Greeks Bearing Gifts and Ianto’s episode, Cybermen was almost as much about the history of the Cybermen as characters and linking it to DW than really Ianto. He did have some brilliant moments, though.

It's like how it is in the credits, JB and EM then BG, NM and GDL, so it made sense to me that Gwen had more screentime.
I had something abut Ianto not being a permanent character at the start, but they liked GDL, so they had to give him several episodes of moping around. __________________

Ianto doesn't say what he's feeling, whereas Gwen almost always, with the exception of her dealings with Rhys (and subsequently her affair with Owen), just says whatever comes into her head. So I think that the varied personalities really shape the thing. But that it just my thing.
 I do wish that we would have seen more of CAPS LOCK Ianto after Lisa's death, it's like he did a full reversal in the space of two episodes. Mandy __________________

It just annoys me when I don't have a clue of a characters motives, I've been forced to come to my own conclusion which is a sign of bad writing.

I dont think the credits have anything to do with it - plus Eve gets more screentime than John it seems half the time. And it shouldnt matter anyway what order the credits come in everyone should get equal screentime. Its not like in other shows because Xander comes before Angel that David got less screentime than Nick, I guess I feel robbed because Gareth deserved sop much more than that and so did the character of Ianto.
