Hi all, it's been a long time since I've posted on this board (I was one of the MSTs that helped get this board onto it's feet).

JJ-Isa and me here

We just watched The bad mother's handbook for the first time... me just turned it on because of Robert Pattinson but then, oh my, the first thing I see is Catherine Tate and I didn't even know she was in it.
Isa heard her voice and was immediately watching with me

Isa: Mrs. Cooper () didn't seem 'bovvered' at all.

I think I half watched The Bad Mother's Handbook at one point, I might go back and watch it again because I don't really remember much.

It really sucks, still thinking about it is hard.

I want to watch The Bad Mother's Handbook both for Catherine and Rob, but mostly Catherine

We watched The Catherine Tate Show the other day and I could only think about just how much I am going to miss Donna

Aww

In a poll on thr Doctor Who LJ community (I think it's called "doctorwho") Donna came in first for best companion.

Quote:
Rose Tyler
106 (18.6%)

Martha Jones
38 (6.7%)

Mickey Smith
8 (1.4%)

Sarah Jane Smith
10 (1.8%)

Jackie Tyler
1 (0.2%)

Captain Jack
41 (7.2%)

Adam Mitchell
0 (0.0%)

Donna Noble
337 (59.1%)

They Were All Equally Good
29 (5.1%)
Edit: here's the entry but the poll is closed.

Aw, good. Rose is my personal favourite, but I think that Donna was the best companion for Ten at that time in his life

I kind of love that the Rose and Martha divide in fandom comes together by a mutual love of Donna by both sides these days.

I personally love Rose and Donna equally, and I actually love most people of that list, although Jack irritates me these days he's still likable as a companion.

Donna's my favourite and I think she was best, so I'm all sorts of happy...
it has nothing to do with me being compared to Donna by three people (click on the Donna link in my sig).

Haha, yea she is a nice way of bringing the two sides of fans together.

I don't know if I can choose my favourite now. I love both Rose and Donna in entirely different ways. I think Donna was the most entertaining. But Rose will always have a special place in my heart. I can't quite explain it, but there was something very endearing about her.

But Donna, I think, was exactly what the fans needed at this point. And her insistence on their platonic relationship was a nice touch to avoid rustling any feathers. It drew the attention away from romantic implications and towards the more fun stuff about DW. Yay!

It's great because instead of arguing we can just be positive.

I think I have different stuff in common with Rose, Martha and Donna, but I'd say Donna mostly.
