Aww, Pancakes! I heart them. Too bad, I can't eat like anything right now.
What is everyone's plans for New Years? If I'm feeling better, I'm going to go to my friend's party. __________________

Although I like English pancakes I love American pancakes as well. That is one thing I always eat when I'm in the US lol. I haven't eaten an English pancake for nearly 2yrs because when I was eating one I got the message that my Aunt lost he battle with Breast cancer. OK so that was kind of got onto a depressing subject.
On a happy note I'm going to my favourite restraunt with my dad, step mum, 2 brothers, my uncle and my 2 cousins for New Year so it should be a good night. We know the owners so we'll probably end up staying there for hours lol. __________________

Your's are more like a kind of cake mixture and ours are really really flat and as big as the frying pan we use to fry them in. I have a sweet tooth and I put lot's and lots of sugar on but you can put lemon or a lot of people put gravy on them and have it as a savory dish. I can only eat pancakes with sugar on them though. I'm a bit weird with food. If I know that something should be a sweet then I cannot make it into a savory dish and vice versa.

My mum makes american pancakes, of course I didn't realise this until I was over there and tried their pancakes, she used to make the really big ones but then she just changed one day but I prefer the smaller ones anyway. I'm the same as you Vicky, I like sugar on mine or even better maple syrup... yum!!!

I've never actually had an American Waffle but I have seen them but in the UK we have potato waffles and when I was little I didn't know the US kind of waffles exsited so I watched a film and the kid asked for a waffle and he put something really sweet on it and all I could think of was how gross it was because it was potato. It was only years later that I realised that it was a completly different kind of waffle lol.
I have recently seen the kind of waffle in a supermarket but without tasting one I couldn't tell you if it was the same or not. Next time I see one and try it and then when I go back to LA I'll try one of there waffles and see if they taste different or not. And on another happy note. Santa kicked his ass into gear (the post office) and my Gilmore Girl DVD's arrived so I'm going to go and watch them now. __________________
