Someone was kind enough to send me the original script on the condition I don't pass it along, etc.

I can however say (and feel free to ask questions if you want to know more), from the casting sides that were released they pretty much kept the same feeling that is present in the original script with the usual script changes here and there. The most notably was changing the location from San Francisco to Philadelphia. But my earlier comment about it reminding me of As Good as it Gets definitely remains true (that's just a personal opinion though).

ETA: Forgot to say, that it was changed in the final script, the title is revealed in the last scene of the movie.

As Good As It Gets is one of my favourite movies so I'm really looking forward to it. Reading the script Nadine, how much equal is Lauren's role to Helen Hunts?

If you mean in terms of screentime, it's enormous. Even though it is an indie film on a very small budget, in terms of screentime this by far is Lauren's biggest role since leaving GG. In terms of juiciness of the role, she plays the type of character that Helen did in AGAIG in relation to the devotion she shows for her child and being weary of others, etc. Very much an equal to Arlen, Jeff's character. That's a major reason for me why it reminds me of AGAIG so much. Basically the sides I posted a while back, really do give a good indication of the type of movie it will be.

Here's hoping that the script translates to a good movie. From what the actors have said, who have mentioned the movie in press junkets, it looks positive so far.

Thank you Nadine. I meant it regarding the role, I absolutely loved the way Helen Hunt portrayed it. Here's hope Lauren will handle the role in the same way.

No. We're talking about As Good As It Gets with Jack Nicholson and Helen Hunt, Besser gehts nicht in German. Lauren's role in TdotR seems to be alot like Helen Hunt's character in AGAIG.
