There can be two ways to look at the title.

2) New Testament according to the Romans. Credit Divine Plan for the link.

Some information courtesy of juliekaye asking Lauren about the movie:

I hurriedly asked what the situation was with The Dream of the Romans and was it still going to get made? Her eyes got big and she said "We haven't filmed it yet...how did you know about that???" I laughed a little and said something like "Oh, the things we fans know!" And she laughed and said "Oh...the internet..." kind of dramatically and sort of rolled her eyes a bit in a good natured way.

Then she said "No, we haven't started filming yet. We start next month, in March, in Philadelphia." She mentioned a bit about Jeff Daniels and Paul Dano being in it and that she was very excited for it and couldn't wait to start on it. I told her that she just made some of her fans very happy to hear that it was getting made and she smiled and I think said "Oh good!"

Additional information from Philadelphia Inquirer

In the film by writer/director John Hindman, Daniels' character is Arlen Faber, reclusive author of Me and God, a popular book about spirituality. Arlen's life collides with those of Elizabeth (a single mom) and Kris (Joe Anderson of Across the Universe), a young man fresh out of rehab. Both Elizabeth and Kris hope Arlen has the answers, but he hasn't got a clue. Also cast are Philly's Kat Dennings (ER, The 40-Year-Old Virgin) and Olivia Thirlby (Leah in Juno). The shoot is booked for 25 days around town.

Is Paul Dano even in it at all? I know his name was out there in the begining as one of the main stars but haven't seen it since until this article they did before shooting. Was he possibly going to play Kris and needed to back out?

Every time I see him I think of the class Luke and Kirk exchange.
Quote:
KIRK: Say I was Tom Cruise. Where would you seat me?
LUKE: In an acting class.

Productions that took advantage of the tax incentive since the launch in July 2007 include: M. Night Shyamalan's "The Happening," "The Lovely Bones," staring Mark Wahlberg, "Happy Tears," staring Demi Moore and Parker Posey, and "The Dream of the Romans," staring Lauren Graham and Jeff Daniels.

The tax credit has resulted in more than $300 million in direct economic activity in Pennsylvania, which has created an estimated 4,355 jobs and generated nearly $20 million of new tax revenue, the PA Department of Community and Economic Development reports.

No, just that you should visit the site. And I don't want to ^^
But why didn't you see them? Can only non-American users see them? Anyway ^^

Thanks for that info, Craig.
