I doubt that. People make movies of books all the time, it shouldn't be too difficult to arrange the legal aspects. Plus, this movie has been promoted as "based on the novel by Boccaccio". So why the sudden change? Why the hell should it matter if they strayed from the book, just call it The Decameron (with a twist) or something.

It's not like Baz Luhrmann's R+J was exactly like the original story either.

The Maximum Virgin Experience would be quite something for a movie title.

But yeah, seriously, ITA. I feel so sorry for Hayden, and the other actors too, if they end up with something this stupid in their filmography for the rest of their careers and lives even.

Well, these freaking changes to these freaking stupid names are making me freaking mad!

I think they're totally capable of coming up with ideas themselves, they don't need me.

ETA: Oh no, even The Internet Movie Database (IMDb) has this listed as Virgin Territory, too. I guess it's official then... The quetion is, should I or should I not edit the title of this thread, too.

Have you noticed how the name of this movie keeps changing in the list of previous threads?

I was reading the Decameron (

) thread at the Mischa board and someone brought up an interesting point of view regarding the newest title. They said: "Although the title eludes to a double meaning which is cool. Cause you hear virgin and you think of sex but coupling with the term territory brings up images of the characters embarking on something unfamiliar. And that fits well with the plot from what we know." I guess that's true.

anyway, responding to the Micsha board comment, while that sounds like a good explaination, it's still a horrible, horrible title.
