Reggie- with our balanced calendar, they have built in 1 week off in fall, the whole week of Thanksgiving off, the usual 2 weeks in December, and 2 weeks for spring break. |

Uh... six weeks off? Plus the summer?
 Just how much time do your kids spend in School? Don't they have to put in a minimum of 180 days of instruction? __________________

That is 180 days of school. We only have June & July off in the summer.
I only get 6 weeks off, as we have 2 weeks of band camp in July. |

Yes we start the 1st of August. There was a time when we started after Labor Day, but apparently we didn't learn enough.

Indy I remember Labor day starts. Now back in August when we are ranging in weather from 108-120.
We get a week off at Thanksgiving 2 weeks winter Break and one week off at Spring. I get 6 weeks off at summer with no pay, so learned to buget. __________________

Only 1 week in the spring & 6 weeks in the summer? Seems like you should have another off week in there.
It is 90 degrees here, and dripping with humidity. In a couple of days, we are going to be in the 50's overnight.  Around here, just wait a little, and the weather will change! |

Indy I would love 2 weeks in the Spring. But they gave us the week at Thanksgiving.

RosMod- glad you have recovered. Now my sister has it.
We both avoided it for 3 years, even working in schools, but this recent strain seems to be easy to catch. Cuddles it is only 50 degrees this morning. Our "Dog Days Of Summer" ended in a hurry! |
