Aw thank you for the Christmas song!

I have been listening to Christmas music non stop and trying to find joy in this Christmas season!

I love Christmas but this year it takes on a whole new meaning! I am learning to appreciate everything more this year!

Oh, yeah! One of my most brilliant ideas, if I may say so myself
A logistical nightmare to organise but so much fun, maybe we should do that again
Well, after our traditional December 1st hot cocoa, I decided to bring out the chocolate wreath, have at it!




*dips a toe in the water (pondering on how many truckloads of melted chocolate would be needed) and a piece of wreath pastry in her hot cocoa*

We were on lockdown in spring, from March till June, went back for a couple of weeks before the summer vacation, a complete circus it was

We started the school year almost normally except masks are mandatory so it's been a bit challenging teaching with those on, but you get used to it. And then we had a second wave, so a second lockdown was decided at the beginning of November. It was less restrictive than in spring, they left the schools open for instance. It's been effective, so they're gradually letting people out again. So yep, I'm teaching, we wear masks and keep cleaning everything, we're social-distancing and it's that time of year so I'm busy as hell but it should slow down soon, hopefully

I have been craving Hot Chocolate so much! I might have to get some! I love this time of year its in season!

We might be working from home again this winter if NYC goes on lockdown again. I know this month at work we took a lot of vacation so it is almost like working full time from home again.

We have been having on-line school since November 13th:
the teachers work from their computers at school, and hold classes on-line.
We may not have students back until later in January.

Happy December Poolies and a big smoochy welcome to my little French chocolate tart 😙

I'm glad to see everyone is doing ok amongst the on going madness

I'm getting to the end of the paperwork for the grant work but don't really understand the email I got today. It's a legal charge for registering my name for the house on the land registry but I've been the owner of the house since February 2012 after my mother changed her will and signed the house over to me and my brother. Why are government officials so stupid? 😕

Twee...I'm glad to hear you're safe over the channel there. It must be funny trying to teach your classes with a mask on. I hate having to wear one when l go grocery shopping. Especially when l need to put my reading glasses on and they mist up

I've sent my Christmas cards across the pond today but no idea if you will get them as the post is all messed up. I sent an anniversary card to Lyn in September and it took 5 weeks to get there

I applied for a job on Monday as a parcel courier. It's local to my area so hopefully l will know where I'm going. I still know my way around London better than in Wales

Thank you for all of the chocolate and how chocolate! I am loving all of the Christmas songs as well!

We all need as much cheer as we can get this time of year!

I am trying to finding joy each day sometimes it is hard but I am thankful for my family and friends and for zoom and small safe gatherings.

I know we might be on lockdown again so I am savoring as much as I can. it's hard not seeing friends in person or family for that matter but I am grateful for what I can get and for zoom.

I am glad for the friendships that have grown stronger during this crazy time and for the new ones I have made.

RosMod - I hope you don't have another big shut-down. I know they are saying the next several weeks will be bad, after so many family gatherings and people at sporting events or other public gatherings. I stay away from people as much as I can.
