If I remember well, there were rumors at first that Tess was indeed Michael's sister. Considering how her story ended up, I'm glad she wasn't.

At least, he has Laurie. I know we didn't see her again but I like to think that Michael and her kept in touch. I think they both needed this familial link.

Tess might have felt she had more reason to like being in the group. If she had a connection like that, she might have done Nascedo's bidding. But given how it went yeah, it would not have helped Michael to have a sibling betray their group. I also like the connection between Michael and Laurie Depree. I actually liked the whole storyline with her, as absurd as it was, a alien jelly fish creature or whatever it was.

It was fun to see Michael and Maria spending time together.

I do agree, I believe they would have stayed connected in some form.

I agree I enjoyed the Laurie storyline. Outside of the Jellyfish nightmare. It was nice to see Michael having a sibling.

I loved also how he got to spend time with Maria.

They were able to bond despite whatever the state of their relationship was before it began. But then soon after their return, they would be tested. But it was fun to see dealing with the upper class with Laurie. And helping her.

Maria reacting to the damage to the car on the ride their was funny.

And Amy thinking they were going camping LOL. Even though she sorta of saw through that one.

Yeah, the jellfish thing was weird, but soooo very alien, when you think about it. I guess what I liked in those episodes were M&M behaving like masters of the house, by the swimming-pool, they were so funny.

I wonder about Tess, Max and Isabel's human donors. In the tie-in books, their donor stories were, hmmm, disturbing, to say the least. I wonder if that was the real intent of the writers of the show .

They did it with Michael. They did not have time to get into the others. Especially we don't know if Max and Isabel's donors were truly siblings. I don't know the books, so I cannot say what the books indicated. But it was easy to do Michael's because he was always searching for some answers. And it probably did give some peace in that he knew. And therefore, he could have bond with Laurie. And especially since she was in trouble, and needed their help.

It was fun to see Michael and Maria in that environment, and playing it up, and being teenagers about it too. Not sure what to think of it all. Maria totally was loving it.

Apparently the Roswell New Mexico series was closer to the books with some of the storylines. Liz had a sister and I think Maria had a brother.

Maybe in the end, but I don't recall Maria having a sibling in the reboot. They kept Liz's name from the book. Yeah, having a sister. But changed things up by having everyone be adults, instead of teenagers. Which took a lot of interest out for me. It was not as interesting to me, or they made choices that did not appeal to me.

I only watched the first season or two. It got a lot more extreme for me.

So, I don't how similiar the reboot was to the books.

No they didn't go with Maria having a brother in the reboot like in the books.

I think it was too much to pick and choose what stayed and what didn't.

However I am glad they kept our candies together in the show unlike the reboot.

Definitely. Although that helped with the great chemistry between Brendan and Majandra. We got lucky in that they kept both pairings together. And did not try to mix or match. They certainly found a lot of drama.

And it makes me love our version so much.

That's superficial similarity. What that new show did to Michael, Maria, Alex was core material destruction. I don't know what that show did with Isabel.

I just read the summary and some comments and I completly tune that show out. In fact, I didn't even think about it because it was so not Roswell it was not even funny.

I'm confident that this show will be forgotten within a few years.

I don't see the interest in buying rights to a book or series of books, only to destroy it completly. It would be like making a Pride and Prejudice movie and having Jane dumped by Bingley, who would fall in love with Darcy's cousin, the Colonel Fitzwilliam.

Hmm, I watched it. It was fun. Some surprise cameo et some surprising scenario. But I had a password to watch it because I had contributed to finance it (nothing much, maybe 20 dollars?).

Fehr and Delfino still have that chemistry so it was a great moment to see them both on screen.

Oh that's nice to hear. Thanks for letting me know. Where did you get to see it? I mean you mention that you ought to donate which I guess is before it was an independent production.
